TERMS & CONDITIONS – Pottery to Go
Walls of Clay has been in downtown McKinney for 19+ years. Our practices, policies, and procedures are fair. Our number one goal is to provide an awesome experience for our guest(s) and our policies allow us to do just that.
PTG (Pottery-To-Go) is just that, pottery to go and intended for creative fun outside of our studio. Please do not purchase online and paint your PTG pieces in the studio. We are temporarily waiving our PTG fee and absorbing the cost in labor and supplies to package and prep your PTG kits, please treat them as such, pottery-to-go. ALL PTG MUST BE RETURNED TO THE STUDIO FOR KILN FIRING. Please allow 14 days for the firing process once your pottery is returned to us, as we are operating at a very limited capacity and are taking extra precautions with the handling of returned pottery.
IMPORTANT: Use only the glazes (paints) provided. Our kiln reaches temperatures in excess of 1800 degrees. Other types of paint and craft supplies (ex. acrylics, glue, markers, pencils and glitter to name a few) cannot withstand these temperatures and will damage your eggs and our kiln walls. No refunds or redos will be offered if products other than our glazes are detected.
Your purchase is non-refundable. We do our best to keep our online inventory up to date, minute by minute, substitutions are not allowed.
While we do our best to estimate how much paint is needed, it can vary quite a bit from person to person. We try to dispense more than enough paint without being wasteful. If you happen to run our of glaze, please call us and we will package up additional paint to go for you – along with our sincere apologies.
Due to the pottery to go, slight imperfections can occur as well as mishaps beyond repair. Please take care of your pottery to go. Leaving it in the backseat, trunk or an area in your car or home where it is prone to be moved or jostled can cause cracking, often which doesn’t become evident until your piece is kiln fired or unwanted chips.
Additionally, due to the nature of kiln-fired pieces, on rare occasions, kiln fired pieces can crack, shatter or do the unexpected during the firing process. While we take every precaution to ensure that this does not happen, there are some factors that are beyond our control. If a piece cracks or shatters, a credit will be issued along with a ginormous apology because we hate to see bad things happen to your creations.
LIABILITY WAIVER: I hereby release, hold harmless, defend and indemnify Walls of Clay LLC and its employees, agents, officers and directors from any and all damages, injuries, claims and causes of action which may accrue to or be asserted by me or any minor child of mine arising directly or indirectly out of my minor child’s participation in a workshop.
